Hi Ella, Yes I love it - you totally forget you have it on. I'm done to 2x putting it on - one day I did it on the first try. One of my friends here told me to squirt alittle water in the silicone prior to putting it on - it works like a charm. I love the length, color and feel. The only think is the bangs - I wish we can go without them. i might get a little more layers, not sure yet. But all in all - LOVE IT!! You still have a few weeks before you get yours, right? You'll see. Thanks for asking. take care.
Pat
Hi Ella - Style - I just went with what I've known (had). light density, it look fuller because of the slight wave. bangs not too big, long layers. It's alot like I had before I gradually lost most of it. I started with AA now I have AT. I'm very excited. I'm still getting use to putting it on - yesterday I tried 6x, not that it should take that long I've been told but I guess I'm still feeling it out on my head and not quite sure how it's suppose to feel at first. But let me tell you once it is on - IT IS ON. Can't wait till you get yours - you'll see. Who did you (Agent) go with? I got mine from Debbi in NH. Oh by the way - ask away - I recently spoke to Deb she's getting hers soon, too.
Thanks for the comment on the blog, but you know what I am saying right? Like it overwhelms you because you and all your friends are out and about and you can't wait to join them and tonight will be a night to remember. You just want to live, and when you do you don't ever want to stop, even when everyone is too drunk, too danced out, too tired, too everything, but at the end of the night you still loved every minute of it as your rocking out to bohemian rhapsody by queen at the end of the night trying to wake up the girl who is passed out on the passengers seat! Anyways, I hope your well!
Hey Ella,
Life is good. Had a wonderful holiday with the family and went up to the cabin for some skating, sledding and R&R...it was beautiful. Now it's back to the fast-tracked routine. How are you doing? Hope you had a wonderful holiday. Thank you for the compliment...I actually had to look up the names as I had no idea who they were...but I'LL TAKE IT:) Made my day actually...and my hubbies fantasies. Hope you are well. Talk soon
Jenn
That's fantastic. I hope it goes great for you. I read your blog and am super-pumped that took a giant leap forward!!! AWESOME...keep at it...small steps...when added up can really get you going on a good journey forward. Keep smiling.
Jenn
Hi Ella,
The wig is in Toasted Brown, and just take a pic of me in and ask them to copy the fringe would be your safest bet I reckon.
Good luck,
Kimberly
Hi Ella,
I'm so sorry that it didn't look right on you. you are sounding like you are in some bad pain right now and I wish I was close enough to give you a big hug. Do me a favor...take a self portrait, as painful as this may be, try it. Then look at it. Do it when you are all dolled up. Find something in that portrait that you like...even if it is the lipstick you wear. Your hair is only one part of your whole beauty. Try a picture with Codi and one without....if you want, post me the pic. Let me try to help you get out of this prison you're in. Believe me, I'm a safe person to send a picture to. I won't judge a thing...just thought maybe this would help. Have you tried going to a local hairpiece shop to try things on. That was my safest bet. The lady I went to here actually had AU herself and gave a private appointment to try on various styles. This really helped me get out and about with this condition. I don't know...let me know how I can help. HUGS and more HUGS!!!! Ps...you are beautiful without hair...take a look at everyone on the site...I find they are all beautiful...you included
Hi Ella,
My name is Dotty and I am originally from Melrose, MA, where most of my family still lives. I moved to NH in 1993 for a job and have been here ever since. My daughter moved back last year and lives in Bridgewater with her fiance' She works at the Phoenix newspaper near Fenway Park. A couple of alopecian friends of mine started a local non-profit for Alopecia called New England Alopecians Unite, Inc. The Hard Rock Cafe' in Boston is going to be doing a fundraiser for us through the holidays. If you happen to be in the area, check it out. I'm not sure when it will be starting, but we'll keep you updated if you'd like. We will also be hosting a "Bald Ball" in the springtime which is going to be awesome. I hope you will keep in touch and if you need anything, let me know because I am here for you.
Love and Hugs,
Dotty
Hey Ella,
After I purchased my first wig, I felt the exact same thing. I didn't eat for the next couple of days...felt kind of like I let alopecia win and now I'm stuck in a wig...this sucks. But...I have to say it has been alright. The wigs are more comfortable than I thought and they look pretty good. It took some guts getting out of the house the first time, but after realizing that no one can tell it's a wig...it was all good. In fact, I get alot of compliments on my new haircut...how ironic. You are going to be great. I think it's fabulous that you are breaking out of the cycle. Wear your new hair out with confidence. When you act like your confident eventually you come to believe that your confident and everyone around you will recognize that quality in you. You are going to rock this!!!
Have a good one and I would LOVE to see a picture of you in your new do!! You have to take a picture!!! Little steps...
Keep smiling...life's too good...as is Codi:)
Hey Ella,
I stand corrected, you are right it is toasted brown. The haircolor is very saturated and not flat and has golden brown highlights thoughout like you would get at a hairdresser. It is very natural looking and even after I explain to people that I\ve lost my hair they still point to Codi and go "Idon't get it". They have no idea...and these are aquaintances. Hope this helps.
Jenn
Hi Ella,
Glad to hear from you. Codi is in Ginger brown I believe. I really like her. She is a Rene of Paris and very comfortable and light to wear. I even wore her to play some intense volleyball last week and she is secure as can be. Hope this info. helps. Keep smiling
Jenn
Thank you for the introduction. She is a wonderful child. Alopecia can be tough but it all gets better. I have had AU for 15 years and it can be hard but I thank god for my life and continue to press on.
