Hello Estella, Haven't heard from you in awhile. Well...I haven't been on here but how are you? I hope all is well. Send me a message and let me know how your alopecia is doing. :)
I think you are beautiful as well... though I know its easier to hear than to believe some days. I can't believe this site even exists! Its so nice to know I'm not alone!
Hi Estrella, as usual all your pics are gorgeous. I have been busy working (paying them bills lol) but keep you in the back of my mind (and in my heart) always. Chao
hi!! i really dont know if my shed was worse when i started with that, maybe a littler more but not big deal, my hair was falling too much anyway, but if your scalp it not good because you have sore and inflamation you cant use that until you solve that, but why your scalp is sore? im my case a got too much pain but it is not sore just pain, with minoxidil if you have aga you only are gonna get baby hair, but if it is effluvium it is gonna shorten the regeneration time.....(if your new hair are gonna grow back in 6 month with minox it will grow back in 3 for example) your read that because they use minox for aga the most of time, but with effluvium it works of a different way because the problem is not the same , i want to say our roots are not almost dead like aga just in shock.
do you have hair still?? because if you are loosing 600 per day, you have to have still a lot hair .
which treatement are u following?
(3 text) with minoxidil the hair which have to fall are gonna fall faster(so maybe u see more shed, not my case) but it is gonna help to grow back your hair, but your hair are gonna still falling, it just help to grow back you hair, it will stop when we find the damn trigger :(.
p.s: i from spain so it is difficult for me to explain in english... and maybe you read somethings that you dont understand
the doctor told me that is normal to have a lot of baby hairs by the shock of the effluvium, it happens when your hair changes to telogen very fast when it not should.
i have been like that for more than a year, i had very good hair before of that ...now i still have hair you can see my scalp but i still have hair ...i have my hair cut like a boy now, and i shaved my hair 2 times.....i want the biopsy to know if it is effluvium o maybe areata diffusa because (some rare cases AREATA DIFFUSA is confused with effluvuim) but it is obvious that the doctor are gonna see diffusa like you as well by the shock of the effluvium like i said before, about monixidil i recommend you to read about it and to choose..it works a bit but maybe the shedding is worse i dont know how to explain..read about it
if you have a very agresive TE ....it could be normal that the new hair which is growing was so thin like baby hair like is happening to me...so maybe that is the reason which the doctor saw in the biobsy that you have diffusa (because you have a lot of thin hair and your roots are smaller than normal....it is because your roots were all in shock by the effluvium) what i want to say if you find the trigger your baby hair will start to get thick, but with the diffusa, not cause by effluvium, the hair never are gonna get thick again, our case is like when a person have cancer with the treatment the hair fall and when it grow back at first is baby hair like is happenig to us
hii!! i didnt have done the biopsy, the doctor thinks that it is not necessary because it is TE, and i am gonna have a scar for nothing, although i would like to have done it,,,,,it is the problem i have not idea which is the trigger....maybe it is something that i am eating like gluten or some deficiency although my analysis are ok.
why your doctor thinks it is difusa, arent you regenerating good?
which treament are you following? i am using minoxidil

hi! i have read your page, your case is the same than my situation, pain, shedding for long time, and beside you had the same hair like me before of that....i would like to know how many hairs per day are u losing right now? and why the doctor thinks you have aga? my hair is not growing back, but i dont think it was aga, i think the trigger which is causing me this is the same reason cause which not let my hair to grow back
