Hi, George! I wanted to let you know about an event coming up in San Bernardino next month. Gorgeous comedienne and alopecia patient Georgia Van Cuylenberg will come to the Feldheym Library downtown on April 17th as part of our Script Frenzy celebration. She will talk about her life as a comedy writer, her transition from standup to screen and documentary writing, and her landmark documentary "Baby Let Your Hair Fall Down", about her battle with alopecia. For more info, call the San Bernardino Public Library at (909) 381-8215.

I think everyone with alopecia should go to the conference. It is an amazing experience. Have you searched for a local support group or maybe some of the members here on AW are close to you.

Hope you are having a nice day.

I thought perhaps I pissed you off or something. I'm glad I didn't or better yet, that you know where I come from too.

What do you do for a living?

Hey George,

I know how tough it can be going through alopecia. Especially as a kid.
How old are you now? Do you have a support group or have you ever attended a NAAF Conference? Alopecia World is a great place for support to.

I only had alopecia for a little over 2 years and most days are good ones. Hope things get better and better for you too.

I think it's a pinch harder for girls than boys. Don't get me wrong at all cause I'm not even trying to say that hair isn't important to boys/men, but you guys can pull it off better. What do you think? I can't imagine what your mom/parents must have felt back then. Now a days, look at us, getting support & 411 via the internet, etc. A que Alopecia, porque mejor no se va por un tubo.

Hey, George. Yes, Rebecca has been to a few derms. Currently she's being seen at UCLA. By far, this has been our best experience. All the other offices, including Children's Hospital LA basically told us that's the way it'll be.

I have made major adjustments in my life because of the Alopecia, thank God. I could never have been able to sit here and talk about it as I am if I not turned to God and reached to him. I was suicidal and que mas te digo.

Right now, her head is covered with hair. She has a very small portion that is still visible (scalp) but you can see the little fuzz on it.

Y tu? How long have you had this condition for?

I know Jr. High days were back in the daaayyzzzz, pero, do you know someone called Molly? Malitzin Gonzalez from City Terrace.

My little girl (ReRe) is doing good right now, praise God. This whole Alopecia situation is something that turned my, I mean OUR life around. Her dad and I have learned (try not to cry right?) that life is precious, everyone's life is precious. Si te contara talves dirias para que le pregunte? lol
Bueno, my beloved homie....lol what's cracking for Halloween? Are your kids "kids" or teens? I started my family when I was 30 y/o. My girls are 1 year apart.
