Hey there Julie, thanks for your note... going to send you a friend request so everything isn't on your home page :-) Then I'll reply through a message. Hope you're ok today, I know every day is a struggle....

Hi Julie How are you doing? I have the same thing as you... deal with scalp / hair follicle pain and I'm 28. I'm seriously close to suicide, have had it with doctors and life as I know it now is not life at all... hope you've had some improvement.

You ought not to tell folks about your innermost troubles cause it only makes you vulnerable. Bad people in the world target those that are vulnerable. Internet messages and what not should be a little more anonymous. Just a thought, have a happy and safe new year. You might be self-destructive like a lot of people who are messed up but take of care yourself right now so you can at least have a 'chance' to get better. Cheers.

Thanks. We all have something in common Julie. That is we care about our emotional and physical well being, even caring about you. I don't even know you. But I went through that. It is hard for you. Please believe positively. It will work out. Merry Christmas. I will talk more with you.

Hello Julie - I hope things are improving for you. This message is to let you know that there is now a Wisconsin group on AW called Alopecians in Wisconsin, and we'd love to have you join us. (I loved all of your pictures, such a beautiful lady and adorable little Shih Tzu:). Susan

Hi Julie, you are so BEAUTIFUL and I hope things are improving for you! I was literally in tears when I read some of your blogs and about me page. It's so unfair for any of us to have to go through this. I've had a rough few years adjusting myself. Sometimes I think that for a little while I actually stopped living my life. With the exception of the scalp itch I think we may have similar experiences. I have tried so many vitamins. I used to carry them in my purse and call it the pharmacy. I literally think I was taking 10 different vitamins a day. I was taking so much Vitamin A that I think it may have unknowingly contributed to more of my hair loss. I went to so many different doctors...family doctor, endocronologist, dermotologist, gynocologist...you name it. I got creams for my head, shots in my head and even spent $2000 for Low Level Laser Therapy. While doing all this more and more and more of my hair fell out. I started wearing extensions, which helped until I lost so much on top it starting looking more like a mullet. I wear wigs now...and my passive aggressive mother in law says that I gave up. Well, I disagree and I feel like I finally started to live my life again. I'm sooooooo tired of trying to fix my hair loss. Maybe it's just the way I am now and the way it's going to be. My mom told me to either accept my hair or accept my wig and start living again. I was spending so much time on my hair I was missing out on time with my son and letting the rest of my mind and body fall apart. I started the new diet which I LOVE. I feel good again. I have found a place that will maintain my wigs and finally found a style that I like. Finding a good wig was another challenge...but, worth the time and effort, I think. If you have any questions about the diet let me know!!! I sincerely hope things get better for you soon! I'm so sorry about the itching :( You are gorgeous and you will get through this too!!!

Oh my god, Trichodynia that is what was happening to me for 3 years! Its only just stopped, it used to feel really really tight and feel like acid was on me head. My head also felt like it was gonna pop! My doctor told me that It was nothing, so thank you for helping put a name to my hurtie head lol
