Hi everyone! I am 25. I am currently in grad school working on my Masters in Special Ed. and work as a Special Education Para at an elementary school. I have had alopecia for a few years now. It started with a few random spots but eventually all my hair fell out. When this first happened, I had it treated by a dermatologist I was referred to for about a year but it did not seem to be working, so I stopped and just let it all fall out. He said it might grow back in a couple years on its own but so far that hasn't happened. So, I just heard about this site from a friend the other day who randomly came across it and I thought it would be great to have that support, especially if this is going to end up being more of a permanent thing than I originally thought!
Yes..I´m an English teacher..I used to work in private schools but the discipline is an issue..stress killed me..I have a human-hair wig but I can´t bear it all day long. What about you? Did People notice you´ve got a wig?
