About Me:
I am married with four daughters. First noticed bald patches in Jan 2008. After research and Dr visits found out it was Alopecia Areata. I tried the scalp injections but I think I will stop them. It is still pretty well hidden as long as I don't wear a pony tail. A few years ago I lost alot of my eyelashes (had bald patches) - I went to three different doctors and no one knew what it was and they eventually grew back. But now I know that was alopecia areata. No one in my family has alopecia areata.
Do you have alopecia?
Alopecia areata
Are you age 18 or older?
Yes

Latisse

Has anyone tried Latisse for eyelash growth? I have lost most of the eyelashes on one eye. My Derm just prescribed Latisse. Insurance does not cover it and cost $125 for a 30 day supply. Since I only need it for one eye it should last for 60 days.

Hey, I'm in the Daytona area and I have alopecia areata too. Are you going to try something different for treatment? I've had alopecia since i was about two i guess, and it comes and goes about every 5 years...but this time is the worst i've ever had it, with multiple bald spots and my hair just falls out all over the place...so i was wondering if you knew of any places in florida near daytona where i could seek treatment because my college's health services and the dermatologist i visited couldnt supply anything
