I can't stop feeling sad and scared for my daughters hair loss. It has been 24 days since we noticed the first quarter sized spot on her scalp, since then her hair loss has been rapidly worsening. I'm heartbroken for my beautiful baby girl who is 13. I cry most of the day when I'm alone. She is doing better than me.

Also remember that guys want to be able to fix stuff -- so he feels helpless, just like you. That's why he is acting the way he is. If you are patient and let him know you appreciate the smallest helpful or understanding gesture on his part, he will be more likely to come around.
Oh, I am so sorry to hear that you are having a tough time. As far as school goes, you can get a "School Pack" from the National Alopecia Areata website: www.NAAF.org . It's free, and includes an educational video that can be played for teachers and kids to help them understand the situation and hopefully cut way back on any teasing. Please let me know how things go for you and your family...and I am sending blessings.
