Hey Deborah. Welcome. There is a lot of good stuff here. Good luck with it all.
Regards. Carl
Hello and welcome, Deborah!
I'm so sorry you are having a hard time. Let me know if I can help.

Thank you for the friend request. A.A is hard to deal with, just for the record I still have my down days. It's just important to hurry up and find ways to get back up.
Thank you for the added friendship. Life is so much easier with us joining forces!
There is a site called wigs.com; but, we have another common problem...small heads which will limit (as you probably already know), the choices of styles, especially less expensive ones. I sewed a small light cotton pad to wear over the sensitive scalp area which then gave me more choices of styles since it also slightly enlarged my head size. (Many things seem to irritate my skin but cotton is always comforting.) It may only be a temporary solution; but, it sounds like a good friend in your proximity is needed as well.
There is a group in Alopecia World called UK Members. If you click on "Groups" up above, using the drop down menu to select "find", you can then enter "UK members" in the search box. A floral icon should pop up; click on it and you can chose to send a message or go farther down to "join" the group. (I check in here periodically looking for Wisconsinites and hopefully a UK site person will be doing the same.)
Also, there are other discussions and blogs to which you can add a comment and find additional help. One of the problems with this site is needing the courage (when we feel so alone) to participate in discussions. There is also the option to start a discussion of your own. ((Hugs)) Susan
Hello Deborah - Glad to have you join us. Please give more information about the condition of your scalp. Is you scalp red and sore from a disease or from the lace wigs? Is there still some hair left on your head and would you be able to shave that remaining hair off?
