About Me:
I'm a history buff, read all I can about all sorts of periods. About two weeks ago my hair started to fall out. It reached a point that i just decided to shave my head bald. The thing is that I had been very upset but now I am having trouble kepping myself from shaving my head every day. I still have some hair but I think bald is the way to go. I am looking forward to meeting others ,especially women who are bald. i actually find it a turn-on. I am ibn my forties and am now single.

Hi;
This is a message to all those who welcomed me to th site. Include are YoKasta, Cheryl and Kat533. Thank you al. I was happy to hear that Kat's hair has grown back. I have only experienced the hairloss for four weeks. It was so sudden. i am getting good news about regrowth from one doctor and not so good from another. Nevertheless, the thing that Kat commented on is a strange and interesting phenmenon. That is that despite the consequences of the way one might look there is something addictive, once one has done it, in shaving one's head and keeping it that way. My choice would be to keep it shaved but still have the hair; another take on eating your cake and still having it. Of course, there is notheing quite like the feeling of rubbing one's hands all over a freshly shaved scalp. Still, my choice would be to avoid this whole thing; to not be having this hair loss. On thr other hand, I would love to talk to or meet people with this probelm as a way to better deal with it. Jim

Jim, Welcome to the site and yes once you start to shave it it's hard to stop. I lost 65 to 70 % of my hair last year and just shaved the rest. After about 5 months it all started growing back. I let it grow but it was hard to get used to the feel of hair on my head again. Being a woman with a bald head was a combo of insecurity and Hilarity. The looks I would get from people would crack me up. I live in California and it's all about looks out here. Well I had a new one and people did not know what to think. I got a good chuckle out of it some times.
Take care and hope to see you again around here.
