Thank-you for your wonderful comments. You have fantastic photos on here and definitely look stunning in your scarves and hat. I am AU as well, and it began happening February 2009. I lost all my hair in about 3 months...shocking to say the least. I had bought this freedom piece and got it this past June. It really has been a boost for me. I am very active and hated being limited by my hairpiece. This freedom piece really does allow me to do everything...I have even waterskiied in it (while guests were over, otherwise I go bald or with a bandana)...it feels marvelous. Just loving it. If you have any other questions about it, I would be happy to help out. My dealer was Karen Peterik and her website is very informative plus has more gorgeous gals with our follicular-challenged state! Hope you are doing well and staying well.

I read your post on the Totalis Group. I’m sorry that you're having a tough time. I feel like you from time to time. I’m 46 and married with a great family. I stay grounded in this alopecia journey because I know in many ways I’m blessed. When the hair loss became harder to hide from my husband, I worried that I would lose him. I didn’t. When I revealed this to my daughters (13 and 20), I thought they would be horrified. They weren’t and as a matter of fact; they wanted me to ditch the wigs and flaunt my bald head. My young son didn’t want me to pick him up for a while, but one day when I was lying down, he kissed my head.
I say this to you because this life test of hair loss is mental. What you think will happen most of the time doesn’t happen. There are some men out there who are attracted to bald women because we’re bald (fetish). Then there are some amazing men who dig bald women because they are attracted to confident women. Don’t count yourself out on finding true love—he’s out there. This experience of alopecia forces you to change the way you see yourself and others. Be open to learn the lessons. I’m trying to do the same. I hope my words have given you some solace. Take care of yourself, we’ll talk again.
