I am 49 years old and live in Los Angeles California. I have been suffering with Alopecia for about 2-3 years now. It has recently gone from affecting my scalp only to the slow disappearance of my eyebrows. Though it was tough to adjust to the loss of hair on my head, trying to adjust to the eyebrow loss is really hard. I'm happy to have "stumbled" onto this site.
Are you age 18 or older?
Yes

Hi Micheal, I to am going through the same thing. Small hair loss last year 2016 in Nov. This year starting in Sept. Rapid hair loss all over...lol even nose hair. I join this site a few weeks back and just want to say hello.
Hi Kat and thank you for the kind welcome. I'm sure it was very weird for you when you cut off all the rest of your hair! It was weird for me, and the "bald' look is in for men right now, so I can only imagine the looks you received! Glad to hear (and see) that it's grown back.
Welcome to the site, i've had A.A for about a year and a half. The first time out I lost 70 % of my hair. I did the buzz and though a little weird being a woman and bald it was pretty fun. Got a lot of "looks" and smiles because I held my head high and smiled back. Hair started filling back in about 6 months ago. Only time will tell how long it lasts. but anyway welcome to the site.
If mine does reoccur I'm going to follow you lead and buzz it off. Since I've got the male pattern baldness working in concert with the threat of another bout Alopecia, it's just not worth the fight anymore. Hair is a hassle anyway! (LOL) I'll shave it off, get an earpiece, work out and get buff and give the ladies something besides hair to look at.
What's Up, My Brother! I took your advised, followed the link and I'm enjoying the site. Very informative and a GREAT support system. You know even though my 'spot' has filled back in considerably, with this it's "Here today, gone....." well you know the cliche. Recently I have noticed a small spot along hairline right behind my ear. i imediately thought, "Here comes trouble."
We are all here to support each other, so feel free to send me a message anytime you want to talk!!! My dad was from Los Angeles (born and raised) and told me once that he was very glad he didn't raise me there because he felt that the way people focused so much on beauty and youth there would be devastating to someone trying to figure out how to fit in when they don't fit the mold for what is considered to be "beautiful" out there.
I'm just curious: What is it about losing eyebrows that seems to be so difficult? I've only lost mine once, so naturally I'm curious.
