- I am a happy busy woman/mom with lots to look forward too! So it was a little bit of a set back when I was diagnosed with MCTD with RNP, this year, which is the leading cause of my alopecia. There is no cure for MCTD as well as no cure for alopecia. I have been applying a liquid steroid to my head 1 to 2 times a day which has helped with some hot spots and it may be helping with some hair regrowth. I started losing my hair in September of 2013.It was only then that I knew for sure something wasnt right. One year of tests later I have MCTD!

AA vs. Cancer

We live in a world of all types of diseases. Today I found out that someone I love dearly has stage 4 cancer!!!! There is no chemo that will help her or radiation that will reduce the size or kill it off. With all of my health issues and aches and pains along with hair loss due to AA and LUPUS ............I took a step back today and said to myself............" I am fine!! Its not Cancer and I need to be strong and realize that this is NOTHING compared to CANCER..........Live Lupus and AA…
