Hello Fellow Alopecians! There is so much info on ordering wigs, however not as much information about the condition of these wigs a few months or a year after they're ordered. I've had cheap indian remy wigs last me two to three years, and some more expensive European hair wigs last less than a year. I'm so curious to know how others' wigs are holding up at the one year mark ... would love to see photos and review of one year old wigs! And please share name of manufacturer, where you ordered, and approx. price point.

Thanks, Sunkiss - I will check out the site :-)
This is what I have found to work very well also!
Yes, it's an amazing product to help keeping your wigs tangle free, also have you ever try this Argan Oil for Hair and Skin as well? it's really good for keeping the hair frizz and tangle free
The hair looks very dry but that may just be a trick of the light. I have found in the past that if the wig cap is slightly too big or is worn too low at the nape of the neck that small folds develop in the the cap that in itself causes tangles to form. You see this a lot with the cheaper off the peg wig. I dont know how the Gemtress wig is constructed but if its elasticated at the back this could also have the same effect.
Hi
To me from looking at your piccie the hair looks a little oxidised (wiggy term), just means a little faded by the environment and happens to all wigs (even those using very good hair). The result is often dry unmanageable hair, that becomes a bit grabby (causing tangling). I think I would consider ringing Gemtress and talking to them about what they suggest for maintenance. They should know what type of hair was used in your wig and therefore may be able to suggest a hair treatment and possibly hair colour that brings back it's life.
Just give them a call as I'm sure they would want to help.

I have a Shevy Wig for three years now and I love it! It looks really natural and is also really comfortable. I'v had lots of people tell me that they wish they could have such beautiful hair lol it really does look beautiful. It's a little expensive though but I think it was worth it, I payed close to $3000 for mine.
Hi Vanessa, do you feel comfortable sharing photos of your Shevy? Would love to see!
sure, I don't feel comfortable showing pics of myself so I just blured out my face, I hope this is helpful!
to all fellow alopacian Follea lifestyle is the worse mistake I ever made with a price tag of $5000 it really is a scam. the hair has no density at all and started to shed from the beginning and after first wash it is tangling and dry at the tip I spend 180$ for shampoo, conditioning and treatment based on what the follea rep told me and still no use. even I heared that gripper starts to slip after a few wash follea is all about advertising nothing more and more interesting all those who advertise are those who represent follea and get it at 60% discount and this dishonesty is not fare to others. Please be aware of all their rep and those who come in by different name and advertise for follea.
Freedom hair: I met Jenifer in totonto and love her and her honesty and if I could afford for sure would have one freedom wig. they are honest and don't want you for money. they tell you every thing up front.
thank you Andrea this was the best discussion.
