Hello Fellow Alopecians!  There is so much info on ordering wigs, however not as much information about the condition of these wigs a few months or a year after they're ordered.  I've had cheap indian remy wigs last me two to three years, and some more expensive European hair wigs last less than a year.  I'm so curious to know how others' wigs are holding up at the one year mark ... would love to see photos and review of one year old wigs!  And please share name of manufacturer, where you ordered, and approx. price point.

Oh my goodness...that is an outright lie.  You worked for Peggy Knight, you never sold Freedom Wigs you sold PKS Vacuum wigs....I know that what Freedom passed on to PKS was always 100% unprocessed virgin human hair..at that time we believed her practises were above reproach, but in hindsight are you telling us differently.  I can't verify absolutely her practices and would hope that she was honest with the people that she helped. I know with absolute certainty that Freedom was always beyond reproach with this issue where her and all Independent agents are concerned.  The hair used in Freedom Wigs is 100% unprocessed virgin human hair.

My integrity and the integrity of a company is being slandered here and I find this a miserable way to behave.

Rosie
I'm not going to argue with you.
The pieces came from the same place.
My last comment.

 Carmen that is not correct.

Follea does not use hair that is unprocessed. They color their hair and put it through some sort of processing.

"Premium European hair" is a term that just means the hair is from woman of European descent.  It is not an industry term.

Select hair and Premium hair dont really mean anything in industry terms.

At Follea they say double drawn hair -a technical term.

They also say "Cuticle intact"-also a technical term.

No where does it say in Follea materials (all available online) they sell Virgin Hair on their wigs. I think if they used virgin hair they would have told me.

Follea’s Lifestyle-2 features our truly amazing Premium European Hair.

Hi Carmen

I truly have no idea why a Follea representative would lie about a product that she neither sells or knows about on a open forum.  I agree we don't need to discuss this further.  I have no idea what your motives are but your information is deadly wrong. Freedom wigs only use 100% unprocessed virgin human hair. That would be a period at the end of that sentence.

Rosy

Follea has other hair that is not in the catalog. This is custom hair.
This blog was for Andrea. Not for us to argue.

Carmen West- This site is for truthful information  for all hair wearers and members to share our experiences. I am replying here because you just made a statement that Follea offers virgin hair they don't advertise. This is not to argue at all.

I own a "Lifestyle 2". In fact, I was just wondering if the ear tabs could be cut in half and had anyone here done that?

Gals that wear Follea would be very interested that Follea offers "other custom  hair".  What does that phrase actually mean please?

If virgin European hair at Follea is something that just you know about, or something new offered, kindly share your information as I and others would be very interested.

You are a wig seller, is that correct?

Hi Andrea

Here is Peggy talking about vacuums (the older style Freedom ones actually)...still very relevant information I especially think her explanation on the cap and comfort are important ...from about 3.25 mins on.  ( I would dispute the growth for children as I think that humans can grow right up into their mid/late teens - just depends on the individual)

Peggy's vid is a little older but totally relevant information here, even though she doesn't sell vacuum wigs.

Also here is a vid of Donna Schillaci (Freedom Wig Independent Agent) talking about the new Vapour permeable cap from Freedom. She does help people with Freedom Vacuum wigs. :)

These wigs may not be your thing but hope the information these two ladies share helps.

Glowgirl...I support you and do understand that Freedom are not for everyone.  :)

Hi Rosy, no need to apologize. Strong women have strong opinions. Alopecia nurtures strong women. :). Love our diversity of opinions.

Glowgirl I thought you are one of the follea rep because you told me to talk to Michael about my wig which I did talk to the head sales but they supported their own wig which is truly not worth paying for. Rose and Glowgirl you are100% right about follea the hair is processed and they claim that life style is the one with less processed hair but how is it possible to have all different style in the same color other than processing the hair. by the way just because I had the opportunity to get my wig 50% off, I ordered my wig custom made lifestyle original price of over $5000. Follea is the greatest mistake I ever made.

Oh jeez....no Gail! I rep nothing, sell nothing here or anywhere!

I live in Los Angeles and know who some of the players are in the wig/entertainment industry.  I think it's best to go to the top or head person when you have a problem.

I own 1 Follea that I did not buy in Beverly Hills but off another girl that wore it only 1 time, for her wedding. I went there to BH to show them what was happening to a wig that had been washed only a few times. They said it's no big deal the inversion of the hair that was happening. I knew better and had my wig lined elsewhere.  So they sold you a lifestyle for half price? Why are You unhappy?

even the half price was cost me 3000 and the hair has no density into it the cap is very empty which I am sure is not going to last a year don't you think 3000 for a year is too much if I knew I would get freedom for 4000 and have it at least 3-4 years.  I only use follea 2-3 times a week not every day,  after first wash start tangling and the tip of the hair is so dry and breaking and I don't know about yours but mine is so delicate and breaks or the knot comes out so easily. It was suppose to be the top of the line and custom made.

I dont have a gripper, I have their other cap. Like I mentioned, hair began coming thru the lace right away and I paid a wig maker to line cap with silk. I also use knot sealer on the inside before I color or wash wig. You can buy very cheaply on Ebay. If I had not lined it, it would have lost a lot of hair thru the inside of the cap.  I have done the bleach bath on it a few times, when it starts to tangle. It is not my main piece. They really cut corners at Follea.  I agree with you!   They do not double knot each strand of hair on the lace cap.   When I tried on some wigs in BH, there were some nice ones and some with little hair.  There is "No real custom" at Follea.  That's a laugh. I add hair as my pieces wear out.  I do it privately. That way, all my pieces stay nice.
