Rash

I have alopecia areata evolving everyday to universalis. Has anyone had problems with pimples or rashes on scalp? I started wearing a wig synthetic about 3 weeks ago but the pimples were already there. My derm has me using olux foam twice a day but I am suppose to taper that to once a day and whenever i try to decrease the rash/pimples get worse?
