Hello, my 7 year old daughter was diagnosed with AA about 5 months ago. We have been using Clobetasol Propionate lotion since and applying it on her scalp 2x/day. A few months ago, I also began to use Clobetasol shampoo 3x/ week, leaving the shampoo on for no more than 15 mins, then rinsing shampoo off. Recently, I noticed my daughter's face is starting to look puffy. I went back to look at photos I've taken of her months prior and it is evident that her face has began to look puffier than previous months. It appears one of the side effects of this steroid is "puffy face." Our ped dermatologist indicates she has not witness such side effects. I've since now am only applying the Clobetasol lotion 1x/day on her bald areas and nothing else as I am concerned about her face. Has anyone else experienced this? And by me lowering her dosage, will her face appear not as puffy? How long would you think I can begin to see a change in her face?
