Hi All,

I am curious what other conditions have you been diagnosed with?  I have had AU since I was 4 years old.  I was just recently diagnosed also with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.  It is not autoimmune although it is genetic like Alopecia.  It has sent me on a quest to find out what else may be going wrong in my body as it is disabling.  I am becoming more and more ill.  As hard as Alopecia is, it is no longer the worst medical issue I face. I need answers, and I feel that the AU could be a clue for me.  I am looking for any other common medical conditions we may share.  Thank you for your help!

Hello Zebra! For others, that's what many people with Ehlers-Danlos will call themselves.  It is a connective tissue disorder, and yes, hair certainly has connective tissue.  Have you found ehlers-danlos.com yet?  I'm betting you have.   What type do you have?  Co-morbid with mast cell activation disorder?  My hair journey has only been the last 2.5 years, and I too look at how hair loss and EDS are related.
