Alopecia Areata Barbae (Beard hair loss)

I've got Alopecia areata barbae (effects the beard only) started about a year ago. It hasn't gotten any better, I've been treating it with a steroid topical cream "Cloderm" for a couple of weeks now, with no new growth. Does anyone else only suffer from the alopecia of the face/beard? if so, how long have you had it, has it grown back, what treatments do you use etc...

Here is a study you might be interested in regarding the response of the beard to PDT. The study is from Spain. Keep in mind that this is only one study. They used red light therapy not the Low Level Laser Therapy.

HI there, Ive had the same problem as you since march 2014. Lost about half the hair on my chin and last week a few new patches appeared on my face. I was wondering about your situation... have recovered and if so have you used any medication injections etc...?
