I've had Alopecia areata since I was five. Bald spots would appear here and there. My worst year was when I lost my eyebrow partially for a whole year. My mom had to draw it in with an eyeliner.

Anyways, because there were bald spots I always grew my hair long to cover it. So my spots always determined what hair style I would have. I wish there was a barber who understood when I was a kid and would use their know-how to accommodate my bald spots.

Anyone ever have a really good barber in the past help them deal with their hair loss (I.e. Help you style your hair to "mask" the spots?)
