Alopecia areata vs. KPU / HPU / Kryptopyrrole disorder / Heavy metals

Hi everyone,

have any of you checked their levels of the so-called kryptopyrroles in urine? In the process of slowly trying to find some explanation of my alopecia areata (and Hashimoto's, irregular periods, transverse nail ridges, etc.), the kryptopyrolle disorder has been suggested as one of the hypotheses, in my case. Apparently it does lead to decreased levels of zinc and B6, important for our hair growth. Since there seems to be not much info on this on the internet, I was wondering if any of you have explored this topic further, and with what conclusions and effects.

Another hypothesis is the issue of elevated levels of heavy metals in my body (e.g. arsenic...). It would be great to hear from you if you have some experience regarding this topic too.

Thanks!
