Hi!  I'm Egle, I'm from  Lithuania and I have AA. I'm scientist.

I"m  going  visit USA  to acquire professional experience with Alopecia ( from science view)  to help  my people with alopecia  in  my country.

And I need  your  help:  I'm looking for my  internship place in DC or NEW YORK. I already found Columbia University Medical Center , where  researchers  already works  with A. Maybe you  can advise  another  places for my internship ( where  working with alopecia)?

I'll be very  grateful   :))

Labas, Edvinai ,( in lithuanian :D) Thank you for  such a nice  words in lithuanian :)) I have  alopecia  for  17  years  and  finally  my  hair regrowth! I done  everything , also  I  started  my  studies  for alopecia . Unfortunately in my  country (  in science field) nobody works  with A. Everybody  just talk, but nobody  - doesn't want to  do anything. So , if I'll be lucky and I win scholarship  I 'll come to usa , because  your  researchers works  very strong on alopecia.  I hope I succeed and I will help  people  like us :))

Jusy sveiki egle:) here in the U.S is the same. I grew up without meeting another person with alopecia. Not until maybe 4 yrs ago I met Afew people with alopecia but they were children. I have AA and I usually wear hats. I have all colors:) I just found this site Afew weeks ago. So I'm learning there are many of us in the world and most of us have the same feelings. I'm happy that u want to help I felt the same when I met these kids at the support group and I wanted to help them too. Just gave them advise on living with it. And helping them realize that it's just hair and it doesn't change us as human beings. Just changes our appearance.I'm a dancer so I helped with teaching them how to dance to build there confidents:) which is something we can lack in. I salute ur efforts to help others and not just talking. It takes guts. I will cheer and pray for u to win ur scholarship. Who knows maybe u will find the cure and I was fortunate enough to have met u:)hehe..So egle ur hair came back?
