"Acanthosis nigricans is a brown to black, poorly defined, velvety hyperpigmentation of the skin. It is usually found in body folds,[1] such as the posterior and lateral folds of the neck, the axilla, groin, umbilicus, forehead, and other areas."

Basically if you have it, you'll know.

Usually, A.N. has a medical cause, but they've never found a reason for mine. Just wondering if any other alopecians have this...I'd love to be able to figure out this "mystery condition" of mine.

I just got this a month ago and half beard gone and patch on my head I start thnking why it happened then It took me month to know that I got this becoz I did something wrong And god punished me giving this disease I tried all medicines but it keep groaning u cant fight with the disease u r cursed withvthe only way is to askc for forginess of ur sins as I am doing the same.when god give me beauty and health I miss used it now he done this to me still I am grearful to god that he spare me by not making me more bad as I can still better than all those who may have worse disese than me its a test for me that I won't repeat those bad things. I did before may God bless all of us
