Hi All,

I have Androgenic Alopecia ( female pattern baldness) since i am 19. and I am really tired of dealing with it. At first it was ok with hair bands or scarves...but m not 19 anymore to wear sports bands to office. I then found out about topik..and it works fine for me...as i have hair loss mostly at top.

But with topik i have this thread always running in my head..that it must be fading due to wind or it must be looking odd in the sunlight. Normal topik bottle lasts only a month for me..plus you have to keep checking in mirror or before you realize you can see the widened patches as topik might have faded due to wind.

So, I bought a clip -in topper...OMG...its horrible....every time i use it....I can see increase in hair fall..plus even though it has clips...those dont feel secure. You cant do your normal activities like running or swimming or even gymming with all those clips ...I then even bought Jon Renau smart lace ZARA.

Its really lovely. But i have too much hair to wear it. lol...plus again i didnt feel secure and was very conscious of it...i wore it only once.

so i am thinking about just shaving my head and going for Freedom Wigs.  Also, can i get a topper like piece from freedom? So tat i wont have to save whole head ( gonna cling to my hairs little longer..sigh) And I know Freedom uses european hairs ...but can they make one with my own hairs in it??  Can anyone give me the idea about costing?? I know its different for everyone but i would like to have some idea as going to freedom is like travelling half of the world for me ( literally...i live in India...and no agent is anywhere near ) and its really big when u convert it into Indian currency.

Still, i dont want to cry anymore....thanks you all ladies for all the support....it really helped me a lot...knowing there is a way...there is a solution. and i want my life back....i wanna swim again which i havent done in last 3 yrs...all those sports...i miss them so much.

Hi

To shave your head to wear a Freedom Wig is something that you need to be comfortable and sure about.  There is no pressure to do this, so please take your time.  I would strongly suggest you contact one of the Freedom Independent Agents and chat to them about your personal needs as this will help you decide whether a Freedom Wig is going to be helpful for you.

I believe wearing any type of wig (INCLUDING a freedom wig) is a commitment and you really need to understand what that commitment will mean to you and what your expectations are around wearing a wig. Consultation with someone you trust is a very important component to working out what will help you personally and then working through the choices and customisation available to you with a Freedom Wig may be inspiring for you.  This will help you clarify what your personal needs are and what a Freedom Wig may be able to offer.

With regards to costing...because a freedom wig is fully customised, you need to talk to an Independent Agent.  Before you do this, work out what style etc. you are hoping to achieve with the end product...then your IA can help you pick a length, colour and curl preference that will work best to achieve your styling choice,  once that is done your IA will be able to work out pricing - (pricing is dependent with a Freedom Wig on length).

Freedom Wigs specialise in full wigs for those dealing with medical long term hairloss....in some special circumstances a part wig may be appropriate but that would have to be decided through consultation.

The hair used in a Freedom Wig is 100% unprocessed virgin human hair (European hair is a bit of a confusing description of hair...a lot of European hair is processed ... the hair Freedom uses is TOTALLY unprocessed)...Freedom Wigs work with the best hair available in the world....this has limitations and many choices, as the hair comes from the people of the world with all the variations that make up the human race :).

If you do decide a Freedom Wig is going to help, you will be able to swim and play sports in it....but do remember it is still a wig and even though it will look and behave as your growing hair does it isn't growing so treating any wig including a Freedom Wig with respect is advisable to achieve durability and longevity.

I hope this info helps and I really feel sorry that at this time you are feeling so overwhelmed.  Keep working on what you need and doing your best to work out what will help best.

Rosy
