Im feeling really desperate here. ANYONE who has AGA and who is also taking spironolactone experiencing frequent urination? It has taken over my sleep...my life! I cant do anything without having to go to the bathroom every half hour. Is this effecting anyone else? Does anyone have any stories, tips, advice that they can offer??

Spironolactone is a diuretic. The dose they use to treat AGA is usually pretty high, the frequent urination is normal at these doses. The only thing that would remedy the frequent urination would be to discontinue the med. Also, the frequent urination really puts a strain on your kidneys, so if you are a young women this could give you issue in the future. It would be worth it to discuss the burdens vs benefits of the drug with your MD.
