I have a question about the Raquel Welch wig I'm wearing in the profile picture. As you can see it's a medium-length wig, so why are there short hairs all around the front at the top of my forehead? It makes the wig look unnatural to have these short hairs all in the front.

Why would there be any short hairs on a medium-length wig? It should all be one length, right?

Do all synthetic wigs have this? I thought this was a pretty high quality one.

If I get a straight haired wig, will I have this same problem?

Thanks for any input.

Aimee, Hi! I'm from the Brooklyn Jewish community where all Orthodox women wear wigs. I think your wig look fabulous and you should'nt worry about the short hairs - they end up looking like baby hairs, which are very natural - everyone has baby hairs, right?

Take a look at my article on the Brooklyn Jewish Examiner, below, where I talk about wigs at length and include useful resources. http://tinyurl.com/headed-in-the-right-direction.
