I wonder how many women out there who have alopecia areata have developed it since having breast implants? Check out this information:

I had my implants for a little over a year and my hair started falling out in huge patches until I lost most of the hair on my head.  It has been over 5 years with little to no regrowth.  I did have the implants removed en bloc last November (2016) so I still hope that my body with heal from the auto-immune response.   There's no telling if it will regrow...

It took over 10 years for all my hair, all over my body, to fall out. I've had alopecia univeralis for about 40 years now. After all this time I am sure it will not grow out.

Did you have your implants when it started?  Did you feel like there was a correlation to that?  I think there was with mine.  I knew I had AA from high school, but my hair regrew on it's own and I didn't have an issue with it until the breast implants.

No, I had alopecia areata for a couple of years, and like you it would regrow. Then when I got the implants, things went from bad to worse.
