My Derm told me I have two kinds of alopecia . I am interested to know can androgenic alopecia change to alopecia universalis?

Hi

I believe people can present with both conditions (especially men).

Rosy

it's true that people can present with more than one type of alopecia, although typically alopecia totalis or universalis may progress from some type of alopecia-areata, while androgenetic I think refers specifically to genetic-alopecia typically associated with aging... but, you can certainly experience any one or multiple forms of the disorder..

hopefully, with more  progress in the newer stem cell research areas there will be some treatment options for everyone suffering from hairloss in the future.

Change to? no. They can co-exist, but one does not evolve into the other. One is auto-immune and the other is more hormonal.
