Hi guys and gals, I'm new here. I was recently diagnosed with Alopecia Areata, though no real diagnosis required. I have a total of 13 spots of hair loss, 2 on my face, thankfully in a manageable area, the others, well they vary in size on my scalp, the largest being around 6 inches in diameter. Rather than try to hide it, I shaved my head, so currently have a "map of the world" look. The rate at which this seems to be advancing is rather rapid. I don't want to try a quick fix, and steroid injections don't appeal (I have a fear of needles).

So I was wondering, does anyone have any tips? I have accepted that I am likely to be totally bald in the end up, I just want to know if there is a way in which to even my look out, is laser hair removal an option? I have found so many conflicting opinions online, any guidance would be very much appreciated.
