Hi all. I have had alopecia areata for 2 and a half years and in that time my "crop circles" just keep moving around my head. I currently keep it short to a no.1 on my clippers but do i take the bald (sorry!) step to shave the lot off. Was a big step getting it cut short to the no 1 it is now.

Do yourself a favor & splurge on one of the good 5 or 6 blade razors, shaving gel & a nice skin cream. The multi-blade razors will help with a really close shave...the skin cream will keep down the irritation. Kudos to you. I remember how apprehensive I was when I decided to shave off what was left and how much better I felt afterwards.
Very sharp and high quality blades. Hot shower/hot towels to open pores. Good amount of cream or gel. I prefer gel. I use headblade because it was designed specifically to shave a rounded surface. For me, the control you get because it's hooked over your finger is far superior to a standard razor handle. They probably cost more ( I haven;t compared lately) but to me the speed, safety and result are worth it.
