Celiac disease and alopecia areata - association?

hi all,
i have found many medical articles finding a link between celiac disease and alopecia areata. i was wondering if anyone has explored this connection personally by trying a gluten free diet or if anyone has recently discovered they have celiac disease?

i also am insulin resistant because i have polycystic ovaries. have you heard of pcos? so i already have a diabetic type diet. i really appreciate your time and all of the info.! wow! i might ask you some more questions as they come up. but i plan to get tested at the dr. to see if i have celiac. i wouldn't be surprised if i did!
