I was thinking of ways I could decorate my bald head, with or without a scarf and thought of Illia on Star Trek with her head band, this intern made me think of medieval circlets.

They are a braided cloth ring or metal which was worn on the head to hold a scarf in place during the medieval type periods of English History.

They would look fab on both bald and scarf covered head.

Heres a simple instruction how to make one from wires and flowers, but there are lots of instructions how to make them on line:

PS:  A lot were worn on the Lord of the Rings films.

PPS there are lots on the Uk Ebay, not sure about the other country ones.  They come with beads, pearls, flowers etc on.

I think ancient Egyptians wore elaborate head jewelery too. Nice idea - show photos if you make that circlet!
Heres a photo of the experimental one I made:

I dont have alopecia. But I think its a great idea. I make hairbows and headbands. And oneday I sat making some and thought to myself if it were Emma my 2 yr old I would have her in headbands. But its not her its my 3 yr old Mikey and he isnt to fond of trying on bows and dresses when i make them. LOL! but since he no longer has hair he doesnt have to try on bows anymore. LOL!!!!
