Could this be contagious?

I've had alopecia since I was 20. Been married for 30 years. About a month ago my wife started losing hair like crazy. Today she has a softball size bald patch on back of her head and 6 more half dollar patches around her head. Could she have caught this from me? She doesn't know I am on here. I have to admit she has a good attitude this morning she said she is going bald and will not wear a wig. She doesn't have an official diagnoses won't go to the doctor

It's a auto immune disease and is not contagious.   2% of the population get some form of alopecia in their lives.  1 out of 50 is pretty good odds,  it's nice that you can go through it together and help her.  Attitude is everything!
