Hello, I'm new here and have just started to read everyone's experiences.... I've had big parts of my beard missing for almost a year now and have tried creams etc..... A few days ago someone recommended crushed garlic, at this point I will try anything, so I did, it stings and turns numb so it feels like it's doing something, I've only been at it for two days so obviously there is no results, has anyone tried this before and am I wasting my time? Thank you

I am starting to see thin blonde hairs...I applied garlic in my biggest patch in the front. That is the patch with blonde hairs...also I noticed my scalp is peeling there too...like almost shedding..maybe from the garlic? I agree with Rose though...before the garlic..I did treatment for 3 years then stopped completely for the last 9 years...and it has just been going in cycles. So it's hard to tell if the garlic is helping or its part of the cycle

I have a few dark hairs growing, since I started, but it hasn't been long so not sure but happy their there

any follow up on effectiveness of the garlic treatment? Thanks Steve!

How often are you supposed to apply the garlic..I have been doing it once a week

Hi! I have a dear friend who believes that garlic can cure ANYTHING! And let me say, she has proven it a few times, and I'm a hard sale! I have seen it cure a toenail (that was in pretty bad shape) over a period of about one month of use. It looked like the perfect nail afterward! Then, I had a severe toothache (it was abscessed! SEVERE PAIN, and low and behold...here she came with sauteed garlic cloves..... I didn't think it would work, NOT for one moment! I was in way too much pain! I ate it though, chewing as best I could to try to coat the area with it, and IT WORKED! I am not joking... pain went away, swelling went down, I felt like a normal person again! I am so glad you mentioned this! I cannot believe that I haven't remembered this and tried it myself! I don't know that there is any one 'solution' but I will say this... your positive attitude is a big part of whether or not anything will work. So...what have we got to loose? Thanks!

It looks like this is an old thread, but I tried eating high amounts of raw garlic once and had slight regrowth.   I'm curious with the ones who posted here if these treatments are still helping.

It may not work for hair loss but it will keep vampires away.

It may work for both. Some research will show you garlic has proven to be successful as a treatment. Also, there’s a study happening in Canada right now with garlic paste on children with AA.

I have to say I haven't heard of this one myself! If it's really painful I probably wouldn't continue personally, but if you do decide to carry on I'd be really intrigued to hear if you see any results!

I used slices but sometimes try crushed, which is harder to control the application oddly enough (if I could make it a paste it might work better...)
