Hi all.  A wee bit about me.  I'm a 43 year old male and have had alopecia for about 20 or so years now.  Lost all my facial and head hair and sporadic hair loss elsewhere. Strangely enough my right leg is unaffected.

Over the years I have had numerous eyelid issues with fine hairs growing where my eyelashes used to be and as a result, I have had numerous styes and infections in the hair shafts. Actual eye irritation is another issue.  No eyelashes, nothing to stop the dust from getting in.  Short of wearing glasses that i don't need, I'm wondering if there's anything others have found to alleviate this?

Another weird and wonderful side effect of this is my facial hair or what grows.  Sometimes a loose hair in one of the shafts can feel like someone sticking a needle in and can be really painful at times and have to pick it (or them) outwith tweezers.  Whilst it's white, the parts that do sporadically grow are more or less the same thickness is normal hair follicles on a male.  Any other males get the same thing?
