Hi everyone,
I was wondering if having medium-long length hair makes hair loss progress faster. During my 2nd experience with alopecia areata I lost about quarter of my hair. I decided to shave all of it, and a few months later the hair completely grew back. I don't know if it was a coincidence, or if having very short hair helped it stop falling/made it grow faster. My hair is shoulder length right now, but my 2 bald spots have been falling for 6 months now. There are a few hairs regrowing mostly on the edge of my bald spots, but I want it to stop falling entirely. I suspect having eczema also makes my hair very brittle. Do you guys think that cutting my hair shorter (not shaving it) would help it stop falling so quickly? Or does it have no effect?
Thanks!
