I wondered if anyone else has an allergy to dust mites and AA as well?

My daughter (age 8) has both, and I think (?) I am noticing a correlation between them - when there are more dust mites around her allergy worsens and her alopecia gets worse too.

It could be a complete coincidence, but I'm wondering if there's anything in it.

You know, I've never put everything together, but when AU first hit me, it was around the time I started being allergic to dust and various fruits.

Never in my life had those things been a problem, but they have ever since.

Thanks for your reply. It all comes together hey.

Yes, we felt my son developed AA due to allergies - foods and environmental factors. We ended up sanitizing the house top to bottom and bought a few air purifiers.  We try to keep all the allergens at bay the best we can, and thankfully he has fully recovered and has a full head of hair now.

Wow, that's amazing! Great to hear!

I have a longstanding allergy to dust mites (and a ton of other things) and am 48 now but my hair loss just started recently.
