Shit happens. We all at some part of are lives will get some thing in are eyes. Unfortunately wit alopecia it's is more a propabal. With out the aid of eye lashes and eye brows.

Has anybody with out eye lashes, Came up with a way of inverting your eye lids to allow doctors to examen and remove foreign bodies from your eyes?

I work in construction and I have safty glasses on all day. But lack of eye brows and eyelashes. Some how particals always find a way of geting loged in my eyes. (On avrage 5 times a year 1 or 2 hospital visit nesscery)

Even eye specialist don't know how to approach an alopecia eye lid(with out eye lashes). I had one doctor nearly split my eye lid open with a tweezers.

Any tricks or ideas a video clip would be amazing. As you tube havent got any for alopeica suffers.

Hey Diarminator

I have found that washing my face/eyelids with baby wash every night to be pretty helpful in reducing some shitty eye infections. its gentle enough to use on your eyes that it doesn't sting. You're right though, shit does happen, and you can't always avoid difficulties with eyes, but i find keeping them as clean as possible as well as keeping eye drops on me at ALL TIMES really helps.

Hope this helps!
Peace,

Thanks for the tip.
Will definiantly have to get in to the habit of a second head/eye lid wash be fore bed. I supose it will also keep the wife happy with a lack of head oil left on the pillow.

One thing I got is a real handy is an eye wash kit from work. It comes with a tiny bottle of water, with an extra lid. 2nd lid is an (eye cap) you fill it up and dip your eye to wash it. Or by holding it in place you can look up, invert the cap and submerge your eye with out been soaked.

But in times of drastick measures. I once took of my top on site. lay under an out side runing tap to flush concrete out of my eye. It worked so I dident care that I was soaked.
