Exclamation mark hair

Hi I've recently lost almost all of the hair on my scalp about 95% but it didn't come out as clean patches it sort of all broke off all iver my scalp I have super tiny exclamation point hair I believe it was due to severe stress and having a csection my question is when the exclamation hairs fall out does that mean new hair will grow in? I have a few white regrowth on my scalp in the last 2 weeks .. This all happened in the past 1-1/2 to 2 months.

I have lost my hair 3 times; it has grown back twice. When it starts to come back it usually begins as white hair, then changes as the re-growth progresses. It sounds to me like your hair might be trying to come back; one thing I have learned is you must be patient. My hair does not come back all at once; it comes back in areas and takes months to fill in.
