I would like to hear from anyone that has long-term experience with the eyebrow tattoos.

I had tattoo done 11 years ago and since then only refreshed on top of the old one.

The first time I did it with a girl who does proper body tattoos besides aesthetic and her style was to do them rather deep, so they held up well but eventually became grey. I did one refresh with her, too.

Then I went to refresh to an aesthetician place, it barely made a difference- she did it so lightly. And she did it on top of the old one. She said I have to come twice but I did not come the second time.

Today I consulted with someone else and she  told me that I should not continue doing it on top and rather remove the whole thing, wait at least 2 months and do it anew.

Question - Anyone can share experience with their eyebrow tattoos? Did you remove and redo them?  Was there scarring? How long did it heal? Any specific tips on the type of tattoos you do? Maybe there is a specific method or specific pigments that work better than others?

How often do you retouch? Also, I know that age matters, I am in my 60s so of course, younger skin heals and holds up better. But still would like to hear back.

Thank you
