I got mine done on the Gold Coast with Deb at The Beauty Spot. If you contact the AAAF they will most likely know people who do it in SA. They have an excellent FB group too that's really supportive just search alopecia in FB.

Please investigate fully before you have it done. And also check out microblading.

Know that either has to be redone every couple of years because of fading. I've had mine retouched twice, and by different people. This last time, the gal had 20 years experience, but ... she did the ink too deep and my brows are now bluish - so have to use brow pencil to cover the blue.

Also, the "artists" are going to do it as they want, not what you necessarily want. I want my brows to be mirror twins, and they want to measure from your eyes for basic shape. My eyes are not the same size, so measures don't work.

It is a costly expenditure, but your cost of $450 is about what I paid in Denver about 5 or 6 years ago.

Contacting AAAF is a great idea. But do your own research.

I had mine done by Erin Golightly in Naperville, Illinois.  She was about $350 then but I think she's increased to about $450 also.  She's very good and it's definitely worth it.
