I just got my daughter some eyebrows from Headcovers.com. It was pricy, $45 for the set of two, but they are real hair and look very natural. She is thrilled beyond belief. She says she is getting used to her bald head but she HATES not having eyebrows. Anyway, we are happy with them. They hopefully will last about sic months if she takes good care of them. You glue them on and apparently can leave them one for several days before taking them off and cleaning them.

We also had to "tattoo" type -- like a kid's tattoo where you put it on your skin and rub water on it. Once you get the hang of it, it looks pretty good. She added eyebrow pencil to it.

You can also get permanent tattoos but I don't know anything about that since she is only 12 and you have to be 18 to get a tattoo in CA. Eventually she may do that, if it never comes back, but I will do a lot of research first because I've seen some people have bad experiences.

From what I have read and learned about alopecia, a hair transplant won't do you any good because your body will just attack that hair too and make it fall out.

Good luck. I think this is harder than the hair because it's so much harder to cover up and the face is so blank without eyebrows.

Thanks for the info. I know what she means. I had thick eyebrows all my life and then bam all gone. I'm so glad she is feeling good about herself though. I pray about her. Something tugged at my heart when I read your story.

I'm a little hesitant to do the permanent because if it looks bad then your stuck. I might buy the ones from Headcovers though. Losing my hair has become pricey with buying wigs, hats, scarves, or whatever. It is hard for me to find the right wig. What type of wig did you finally get for her?

I have my eyebrows tattooed, easy to look after, and all I need to do is have the colour topped up every 12 months as it fades from the aussie sun, and I don't want blue eye brows hehe.......
