Hi all! Hope you are all doing well. I am getting ready to have permanent eyebros done. Of course I am nervous about doing this and would like to make sure the person I choose has the correct experience. I am in Albuquerque - can anyone here give me some recommendations? I would also travel as well - like to Phoenix, Denver, or someplace relatively nearby. Thanks in advance!

Well i don't know, i have eyebrow loss since 11 years, it came back 3 times, but it loss again. i don't know what to do ? any suggestion ?

Oh I wish I did... I am very new to this - less than 1 year. I suddenly - within 2 weeks - lost all my hair, eyebrows, eyelashes... Nothing has come back, and I guess I am just trying to accept the fact that it might not ever. To have this done would make me feel a little better I think - I guess if they were to come back they would just grow right through so I think that would be ok too! Good luck to you and thanks for answering me - I know how you feel!

I'm not in your area, but just thought I'd say hello as I plan to have it done as my personal Christmas present for myself next month. I too am nervous about it. Good luck on finding seasoned professional-- this isn't the kinda thing you can do over. I am in the DC area if anyone out there has recommendations for me. I have been doing Internet research and have a couple of options based off customer feedback on the web.

Hello to you too! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and that this process goes well for you. I did meet with one woman but didn't really feel comfortable with her - I don't think she was used to dealing with alopecia - just eyebrow "enhancement". Plus, she didn't want to use black, which is the color my eyebrows were. I want to look like me again! So - still haven't found anyone else. Good luck to you - please let me know how it comes out and thank you for taking the time to say hello.

Hi all, I have my eyebrows done, and Black is no good, it goes blue as it fades, so keep with the other colors. Keep in mind too (I don't know if its just sunny australia), but you have to have them re-inked every 12 months because they do fade.
Make sure you check the person out well when you go to them and ask them of their credentials, and most will have photos of other clients they have done. Great idea to see them too.
Good luck, hope you find someone great to look after you. :)
ps: there are also some great eyebrow products out there, with silcone backing and natural hair and they glue on for a number of days I hear. Might be worth looking into? (I haven't as I have had my eyebrows done for 15 years)

That is such a good point! Thank you. I imagine that it would fade in a not good way... I guess I should use some brown pencil in the mean time to get used to the color.

Hi there, I think your choice to have permanent makeup is an excellent one. I myself am a permanent makeup artist and trainer in the United Kingdom and can say from my many years of experience and this treatment has had nothing but a positive impact on my clients lives, without exception !

What you need to be sure of is that the person who is going to create your new eyebrows is good at what they do. Firstly make sure you see their portfolio, but even better is to look at recent work they have done direct from their camera. All good technicians will document their work with photographs. Ask yourself, do they look symetrical?, does the colour suit the client?, is the shape good? The next big thing is to consider where they trained, was it a reputable establishment? Is the treatment room clean? All the above is very important. My clients are given an aftercare advice sheet and balm to help their enhancement heal. I also ensure my clients know they can call me anytime after treatment should they be unsure about anything. I hope this gives you some help, and I wish you luck. Enjoy the freedom that eyebrow enhancement can give you. B x

Thank you so much for the advice. Do you know if there is some sort of board, or society for lack of a better word - which might have recommendations of those in my area? The woman I saw only had one set of before and after pictures, and it took her about 20 minutes in another room before I was called in to look at them, on the computer. I wasn't too comfortable needless to say!

Hi. I just had my eyebrows tatooed and I love them. You should ask to see pictures of the work before you agree to have her/him work on your brows. And you will probably have two appointments, a second to fill in any spots. I also had eyeliner done and it really fools the eye into thinking there are lashes there. It is expensive but so worth it in my opinion. Blessings.

I purchased the wig eyebrows from headcovers.com and I was reluctant at first to put them on. I was so used to seeing myself with penciled brows that I didn't notice how dramatically my face had changed without real brows. I decided to put them on one day even though I thought they looked so odd (weird I know). Welll after one day I totally fell in love with them. I put them on with DUO stick adhesive and keep them on for a week or more. I am careful not to get them wet but they stay great. Sometimes i need to touch them up with a little glue in the corners but that is it. Love them

Thanks! I actually bought some too but the glue they came with they didn't stay on long at all. In fact, I took a nap and one came off - when I woke up I walked around for quite awhile before I noticed this! Where do you get the duo stick adhesive? I am certainly willing to put these on while in the process of looking for a technician.

I use the brush on DUO adhesive from Sally Beauty Supply. It works great for my skin. I am sure everyone reacts differently to it. I make sure the brow area is squeaky clean with rubbing alcohol 91%.
