Eyelashes and contacts

Since my eyelashes fell out, I have had lots of trouble wearing my contacts. My eyes have become much dryer. Anyone know if there is a connection, or is it just unique to me.

Hi Dornetta, I had the same thing.
I was in the process of trying contacts when the eyelashes began falling out.
I had noticed a gritty feeling late in the day before even trying the contacts though.
Somnething to do with the natural protection from debris that the eyelashes provide, but I've noticed I no longer seem affected (maybe I just got used to it?)
I gave up on the contacts though, I find the glasses kinda "break up the expanse of skin" if you know what I mean :)
