Hi,
I recently purchased human hair fake eye brows( the brand is cardini or something). Anyways, I have yet to use them because I am scared they will fall off in public. I live in CA, so it is very hot, luckily it's almost fall. Anyways, does anyone else use these or have suggestions for glue. I bought the glue they suggest but I don't think it is strong enough.... Also, if anyone uses these...do you then use a dip brow or pencil to really blend them in with your skin?

I wear that brand of eyebrow. I'm on my second pair already, I've worn the first one out. I bought the glue on the head cover website. You apply the glue, you let it sit for a few minutes (like2-3) and you glue your eyebrow on your face. Mine last 3 to 4 days. I only have to do minor touch up in the morning. I don't use any kind of pencil.
I started wearing them a year ago. I cut them a little into shape as I found them too long and thick for me. And I use the glue they recommend, which I bought from the headcovers website. I take them off about every 3-4 days to clean them and let my skin breathe for a night. (Although I got an email a while ago about some glue that lasts up to 28 days, I have to look that up again.)
They never fell off in public! The only time they fell off was when I had noticed they weren't glued on properly at night, but was too lazy and went to bed and probably rubbed my face against my pillow a lot. I woke up with one eyebrow on my shirt. That's when I started checking them every day in the morning and before I go to bed to see if the inner edge is 'loose' so I add some glue, which is about every two days.
I do fill them in though to make them look more part of my face. I use brown and black eyebrow powder to do that. It also covers the edges a little and basically makes it look like you used eyebrow powder over your own eyebrows.
Overall, I love them. I'm about to buy my fourth pair. You can actually wake up with eyebrows on! Plus, people don't notice. Only when I tell them about my AU, they usually can't believe it and lean in really close and inspect my whole face, and then they see it. But yeah, I'm definitely super happy with them, it's the best option for me. Also, I think it should be fine in a hot climate. I wore them on my holiday in Barcelona and it was good. You'll probably just have to take them off every 2-3 days. Definitely give them a try! :)
Okay, I just glued mine on for practice..and I noticed when I change my facial expressions like frowning they don;t move with my face...it's awkward... so far I am using anastasia line and it has been a blessing...what do you do when your face expression moves and cause ur eyebrows not to move?
You mean the Anastasia Beverly Hills line for drawing them on?
Mine do move with my face. Perhaps only 85-90% while frowning, but I think that's just noticable to me now that I pay attention. I think the key is to position them correctly. When you 'raise your eyebrows' without having any on, you will see a line/crease from the muscle under your skin that would raise them. That's exactly where you should glue them, so they can move with your face. Put them anywhere else, and of course they won't move. Hope you know what I mean :)
Also, it'll take a while to get the hang out of wearing them, get a shape and all...but it was worth it for me!
I live in Australia where it's SUPER hot and humid (I'm originally Canadian) and have had to wear brows for almost 2 years now. Finding a good brow (that's not $100/pair) here has been a mission.
My issue is actually with getting the adhesive OFF the brows when I take them off so there isn't build up - I'm keen to try the Headcovers brows, adhesive, and remover but have a few questions, primarily because when I order, I try to make a bigger one as international shipping costs a fortune, but is still cheaper than buying here :(
1. how big is the adhesive container? like how long will it last if you're doing 2-3 days at a time with the brows on before re-application.
2. Does the adhesive remover actually work to 'clean' the brow at all?
3. Overall how do you find the headovers brows? Like do they stand up to use, I've had a LOT of pairs here in Oz rip on the 1st or 2nd wear and I'm crazy gentle with them but the costs add up quickly when that happens.
Any help or feedback would be SO much appreciated -
thanks
