Hi Guys!

So I was diagnosed with Folliculitis about two months ago. I have a large bald spot my crown and extreme thinning. The biopsies showed scar tissue but my Folliculitis was not very bad so we are guessing I also have scarring Alopecia. I had to clear up the bacteria first and I finally go in to the doctor today to see what she says about the Alopecia. It looks like I have some sporadic baby regrowth which is exciting! I don't want to get too excited tho.

What will she do to diagnose the scarring Alopecia? I have to wear my hair up to cover my bald spots and I wear thick turban head bands to cover the skin on the sides of my head - the thin hair doesn't cover much anymore. But I'm not ready to commit to shaving my head! I MISS having hair and curling it or feeling pretty and feminine. I really wanted to let you guys know my story because I am eager to become a part of the community.

Thanks,

Veronica

Hi,I'm new to Alopeciaworld and that's what I went through. Take one day at a time.

Hi Leanna! You have Folliculitis too? Looks like I have Folliculitis Decalvans. Not sure about Scarring Alopecia but even though my hair has some regrowth the amount falling out kinda makes me feel like it doesn't matter. What form of Alopecia do you have?
