First-hand experience with allergic reactions to permanent makeup?

I've made an appointment to have my eyebrows tattooed in a few weeks. I've done my research, picked a reputable technician, and am aware of the risks. I'm wondering, however, if anyone on Alopecia World has first-hand experience with an allergic reaction to permanent makeup? I know that alopecians often have skin allergies and am wondering if we're more prone to reactions to pigments and dyes. From what I can tell, most people on Alopecia World who have had their eyebrows done are happy with the results -- just wondering if I've overlooked any glaring exceptions. Thanks for any insight!

A reputable authority I like to refer people to for accurate and safe medical care is the world famous Mayo Clinic.

They remind as many of us have tried to do here on AW that tattoo art is in the category of "cosmetic" and is therefore ( in the USA) not regulated by the FDA in any way and most states have no regulations nor enforcement of whatever regulations there may be for the skills and infection knowledge of anyone performing under the skin injectables. You're really on your own.

Thanks for the response, Aimee. The person who I have my appointment with said something similar. It's definitely more reassuring having it come from people who have actually had it done themselves, however. Your eyebrows look great!
