Hello
I´m a 24 year old girl from germany. I had alopecia areata 10 years ago, but without any treatment the hair came again.
Now i was happy for 8 years, and then alopecia started again...
Now it`s so bad, that i think about buying a wig.
In the Internet i read a lot about follea wigs, and they have relly nice pictures...
Does anybody of you have experiences with follea wigs? Especially the "Design 4 Silicon Light Part" wigs????
Would get one special price for 1200 Euro.
Can anybody help??? :)
Greetings from Germany!

Hi Ina, I have two Follea wigs. Beautifully made and really easy to care for. I don't know what the Design 4 Silicon Light part is though. Will have to look that up. I can (and do) change my part in any direction. :) Stephanie
Hi Rose ~ I just posted a message about the Follea Gripper Wigs and then saw after where someone else had asked about this brand....I currently wear a vacuum piece and looking for something with a "lighter cap but secure" can you fill me in with more detailed info on them? I am an outdoorsy person and want something cooler and definitely with a secure fit. are they custom fit? cost? human hair? any info is much appreciated. I also have a email into Follea and will be contacting them by phone also I would like to get peoples' opinions of them also. thanks!
Hi,
I have two follea gripper - one is gripper sport and one is gripper cooler. I love my grippers! they are light, natural and they stay on no matter what. I don't know how much will be a Design 4 Silicon Light Part, but I think you might find an estiomative price on follea's website (in their catalog). I buy my follea wigs from Germany and I can provide you the details of my contact person, which is great. let me know if this would help you (I guess you already got your follea by now)
Hi, I am new to this website, very happy I found it, sometimes I feel I am all alone with this disease. I have been totally bald for over 9 years, and have never been totally happy with the wigs I have been wearing. I am interested in getting a Gripper wig, but the price seems very high, $3485.00 for an 8", but I did love the feel of the hair. I went online to see if I could find it cheaper, but I didn't find the color I wanted, which is 15030. Any suggestions on where I should go to find more options? Thanks so much, saz
Hi Sandy
There are many options available to you with regards to your wig of choice. Those that wear wigs love the wigs they wear or they wouldn't wear them and that tends to make people bias....I am no different.
I think the first thing you need to do is really work out your own needs. What are you requiring from a wig. What is important to you. Make a wishlist and then match that wishlist to the wig choices available.
These are some things you may be looking for- security, comfort, ease of care, longevity and durability, realism. (These were the things on my list when we started looking for my daughter).
I also know for most people budget is an issue...it was for me. :) But in hindsight I was very pleased that we went with the wig we did as it made my daughters life extremely positive.
Just a small note when you are looking at hair and it's quality. There are two types of human hair available for wigs. Processed human hair and 100% unprocessed human hair. Processed human hair should be a far cheaper option, but it does have some downsides. (If you want any information on this pop into my page and I'll pass them on). 100% unprocessed human hair is as it is stated. It behaves and moves like people's growing hair, and is very realistic...but it is expensive.
Be careful when you are talking to sellers/vendors as they tend to use a lot of euphenisms around this. If it is processed (even a little) it should be a lot cheaper than unprocessed hair. There is a lot of spin around this so be wary.
Good luck with everything

Sandy-have you thought about the gripping type wigs made by Onrite/Gemtress. They can be purchased through Lori's wigsite.
They now have some EHH version, and with those the hair would be similar to that in Follea wigs but at a much lower price point. If you have a stylist who can cut and style a wig, that might be an option closer to your budget.
I know that Follea wigs can vary in price depending on which salon you are using, but I don't think they vary much.
Just to help Illa. I believe EHH hair is an abbreviation of European Human Hair. Which means the colours will be similar to those of European descent, but the hair more than likely will be processed, especially in the mid to light browns, blondes and reds. Do not mix this hair choice up with 100% unprocessed virgin human hair as the qualities are very very different, as is the price, realism and longevity(how long it looks good) of the hair.
Most boxed wigs or mass produced wigs (which would be many of the follea wigs, but not all as some are customised) will use processed hair as it is easier to work with and should be inexpensive. I don't know about onrite and Gemtress but I'm sure Cathy will be able to pass on her knowledge. /p>
