Hi Cashy
I'm a Freedom Lady and would be happy to help with some information that I hope will give you insight as to what a Freedom wig is and what you can expect from it. My daughter has worn Freedom Wigs for the last 11 years.
As you have said that you are an active person I will talk about what can and can't be done in a Freedom Wig first. You will be able to do all the activities you have listed, while being aware that even though your Freedom Wig is an exceptional good piece of equipment it is still a wig.
Freedom has an Independent Agent that was an aerobics instructor and a yoga instructor...she wore her Freedom hair to do these things. Many wearers of Freedom wigs lead very active life's. I will put a piccie up of another IA water skiing.
Heat and wigs. I think you have to be realistic with wigs. All wigs are hotter than no hair or your own biological hair. I'll put a little blurb here that explains the Freedom Cap II and how it works.
'Medical Grade silicone is used in the cap, which means it is Hypoallergenic, Anti –Bacterial, Stain Free and Water Vapour Permeable. The permeability means when you perspire the perspiration is able to pass through the cap, while keeping you and your hair dry and comfortable.Comfort, security beautiful natural moving hair is the outcome of a Freedom II Cap.'
I'm going to write a little about the hair that is used in a freedom wigs as well as I have found over the years the understanding of hair and wigs is often limited for those wearing wigs. Sometimes due to misinformation etc.
There are two types of human hair used in wigs Processed human hair and 100% unprocessed virgin human hair.
Freedom Wigs only uses 100% unprocessed virgin human hair...no matter what ethnic background we do our best to use the hair that is appropriate to need. This hair comes from the population of the world with all the variability and limitations that brings.
Just in case you confuse this hair with Processed human hair I'll put a little info below.
Processed human hair is often called 'European hair', 'Remy/Remi Hair' etc. all very confusing for you as a user. This type of hair has often been processed down to European Shades from very black hair. It often has a silicone coat on it to make it look shiney and healthy, but once washed can become difficult to look after becoming tangly and dull. I believe that processed hair is a very good alternative for those that need wigs short term, but for long term hairloss it can create issues. Many people do enjoy this type of hair as the upside is....it is often very reasonably priced.
If you would like to ask anything else feel free to message me.
