I have a nagging issue that just may drive me insane. No matter what I do my scalp gets oily (and thus disgusting) within a few hours of washing it. This isn't bad enough to go to a dermatologist about, but it's seriously annoying and gross. (My boyfriend touches it and comments on it at least once a day, which makes me even more self-conscious and embarrassed, as if I wasn't already).

I shower every day without fail, and switched to natural, hypoallergenic glycerin soap. It has helped the breakouts on my face and head and doesn't cause reactions like the normal shampoos and washes do. While it's improved the problem, it hasn't gone away. I use HeadBlade b/c it works better than normal shaving cream, and always wash it off completely after. Washing and shaving can leave my head a bit dry which I used to ignore, and so I've recently been applying a VERY thin layer of jojoba oil to replace moisture right away rather than have it "overcompensate" and get even more greasy. This seems to slow it down, but not stop it.

One thing I do know contributes is having to wear a hat or scarf almost all the time, even indoors. I live in chilly place and am hypothyroid, so my head gets cold easily, which usually makes my whole body cold. But I try to choose breathable fabric and wash them often, and I use facial wipes on my head sometimes.

Has anyone else has found successful remedies to this issue?
