Getting XELJANZ covered by U.S. Heath Plans - please share your experience

All, for many of us that have U.S. employer sponsored health plans, open enrollment season upon us.  I am trying to decide if I go with my current carrier, Cigna, who does not cover XELJANZ, or purchase an individual plan on the exchange that will offer full or partial coverage.  Please post here and share the following:

1) Who is your current health insurance provider? What type of plan do you have?

2) Do they cover XELJANZ for Alopecia?  If so, how much is covered?

3) Any other insights that you can share on your experience getting it covered?

I think this information will prove useful to many and appreciate any information!  The copay card from Pfizer offers a good start, but clearly is not enough for most of us to be able to afford the drug.

This is a great discussion topic. Thanks Chapstick! I too would appreciate any advice regarding insurance carriers. Even if i could have the opportunity to give Xeljanz a shot and it didn't work, I would choose to support an insurance company that is willing to give folks in our situation the opportunity to give every possibility at least a try.

Thanks Bee, hope to get some good insights we can all use!

Has anyone had success with their insurance company? Partial or full coverage for Xeljanz? Even for a trial period? Any advice would be wonderful! Thanks!!
